Losing teeth is the first step in what can quickly become a downhill slide to more tooth loss and deteriorating oral health. If you lose a tooth, the best course of action is to find out why, correct any underlying problems, then promptly replace the tooth – before your other teeth begin to shift and alter your occlusion.

Dr. Allen offers dental implants, as well as the traditional versions of bridges, partials, and dentures, to replace lost teeth. However, all of the following prosthetics can be secured with dental implants for a reliable, no-slip fit.

Dental Bridges

A bridge replaces one or more teeth in a row. This prosthetic attaches to crowns placed on healthy teeth or to dental implants. Bridges are fixed, or non-removable, dental prosthetics.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures, or partials, replace many teeth on the upper or lower arch, and the teeth do not have to be in a row. To keep partials secure, inconspicuous clasps attach to healthy teeth or a partial can be placed onto dental implants.

Full Dentures

Full dentures replace all teeth on the upper or lower arch. They may be retained by natural suction or denture adhesive. Implant retained dentures are secured with dental implants.
