If you're one of the many people who don't like shots, Dr. Allen can use Oraqix, a topical anesthetic that can replace the traditional local anesthesia injection for some procedures. In addition, we offer nitrous oxide, also called laughing gas.

If you feel stressed or anxious, nitrous oxide can make your dental visits more relaxed and comfortable. The gas is inhaled through a small mask that covers your nose, and you will notice the effects in just a few minutes. Patients have described nitrous oxide as making them feel calm, unconcerned, happy, slightly numb, and comfortable.

There are no long lasting effects of this form of sedation dentistry, so you can resume normal activity immediately following your appointment.
